4L Pneumatic Brake Bleeder Operation Procedure

1. Safety Preparation:

  • Ensure the work area is well-ventilated to ensure good air quality. Wear personal protective equipment, including gloves and safety goggles, for safety.

2. Drain Old Brake Fluid:

  • Connect the pneumatic pump to the brake master cylinder and use a small hose to draw out the old brake fluid from the master cylinder. Ensure that the drained old brake fluid flows into a container designated for waste brake fluid for proper disposal.

3. Add New Brake Fluid:

  • Use a 1-liter supplementary bottle and place it inverted on the brake master cylinder. Slowly pour new brake fluid into the brake fluid reservoir, making sure not to spill or drip it onto the vehicle or the ground.

4. Inflate and Bleed:

  • Connect a rubber connector to the bleed screw of the first cylinder that needs to be bled. Use a box wrench to loosen/open the bleed screw and then manipulate the air valve to release air until the brake fluid flows cleanly without any air bubbles. Repeat this process for all cylinders, ensuring that the brake system is free of air bubbles.

5. Brake Testing:

  • Start the vehicle and press the brake pedal several times to ensure that the brake fluid is working properly and the brake pedal feels normal. Check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir to ensure it is at the correct level. If everything is functioning correctly, close the brake system, then clean the work area, ensuring that old brake fluid and other materials are disposed of properly.
