Bad Dog Multi-Purpose Drill Bits are different than other bits you may have used before, for hard material like metal the bits should be spinning at least 2500 RPM - with the exception of Porcelain Tile and Glass which are drilled slowly.

Whether you drill fast straight through or prefer to use a pulsing action, these multipurpose bits are tough enough to handle stainless steel.

For porcelain, spin the bits slowly and keep them sharp

While most hard materials require you to drill using a high RPM, the exceptions are porcelain tile and glass. Keep an eye out for signs your bits are overheating and sharpen as necessary.

How fast should I spin my drill bits?

It depends on the material. For masonry and hard materials like most metals, spin them FAST - at least 2500 RPM. However, some materials need to be drilled slowly - like tile and glass. Refer to the RPM guide on your package for full instructions.
What happens if my bits dull or break?

Reach out to us! We offer lifetime customer support and will sharpen or replace bits as necessary. For dull bits, also consider trying out our Diamond Wheels.
