Product description
HIgh Quality, Reliable and Durable
The flow meter outlet will fit both the female 9/16" x 18 nut or the male 5/8" x 18 fitting. You can see the adapter in the picture. It comes with a standard 1/4" barbed fitting. If you have a Miller, Lincoln, or Hobart welder, the gas hose from your machine should screw right in, as they should use the 5/8" x 18 male portion.
There are NO GASKETS or WASHERS to get the fittings to seal like other cheaper regulators sold that do not use the standard N-24 nut and NP-72 outlet.
With an Argon regulator and flow meter combo, you cannot go wrong.
SPARC's regulator and flow meter combos are ready for MIG and TIG welding setups. From 0-60 CFH, no matter what the situation, it can handle it.
A Better Flow Meter
Regulators are used in welding to control the flow rate of gas from the tank to the welding hose. Regulating the flow of gas provides a higher quality weld, a safer work environment, and produces less waste. Connecting a hose directly to a gas tank instead of a regulator would cause an uncontrollable flow of gas. This would blow out the welding arc and waste all the gas in the tank.
It is imperative to use a regulator specifically designed for argon gas. These regulators have two gauges. One to determine the pressure of the gas tank and the other to measure the gas flow rate from the tank to the hose.
These argon regulators can be used to manage argon gas flow rate and pressure:
The pressure gauge that shows how much gas is left in the tank goes from 0 to 4000 psi.
This flow meter does not use a diaphragm, so it is more reliable than the flow-gauge style regulators.

Welders use regulators to manage the flow rate of gas from pressurized tanks to their welding hose.
Gas tank pressure is measured in PSI, or pounds per square inch. Flow rate, however, is measure by CFH, or cubic feet of gas per hour.
Flow rates when using argon will vary depending on the welder, the method of welding, and the welding job at hand. Industry-standard flow rates typically range between 10cfh and 35cfh.
The output flow of SPARC's Argon Flow Meter is adjustable from 0 to 60 CFH (cubic feet per hour), and is indicated by a ball which moves up and down in the flow tube, so this flow meter will handle MIG and TIG welding steel, aluminum, stainless, titanium, and most any metal or alloy.
