WALKER QUIET-FLOW SS MUFFLERS

Combining industry-leading coverage with a direct fit OE-style replacement design, Walker Quiet-Flow SS mufflers and muffler assemblies deliver a precision fit, superior flow and OE-style sound. Walker Quiet-Flow SS mufflers are the only broad market muffler to feature 100% stainless-steel heads, shell, bushings, louvered tubes and partitions.

Module3-01

EASY TO INSTALL

Direct-fit bolt-on replacement includes OE-style hangers, brackets and pipe routings for easy installation and doesn’t require specialized fabrication and/or welding

Module3-02

CORROSION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL

The only broad-market muffler with 100% stainless-steel construction that delivers longer life versus aluminized mufflers while an internal drainage system reduces moisture collection

Module3-03

PREMIUM ACOUSTIC CONTROL

OE-style louvered tubes lower noise levels while OE-style domed heads help reduce radiated noise for premium factory-style sound quality compared to straight perforated tubes

Module3-04

BUILT TO LAST

Internal partitions and mechanically joined tubes allow expansion and contraction during temperature changes to minimize distortion while spun-locked heads and OE-style spot welds provide structural stability and longer service life

WHAT IS AN EXHAUST SYSTEM?

Vital for fuel economy and the environment, your vehicle’s exhaust system carries away harmful gases that are created during the combustion process. The exhaust system not only keeps dangerous gases like carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons from entering the cabin but it also "cleans up" the gases before they are released into the environment. Here are the components of an exhaust system:

  1. Manifold/Manifold Converters
  2. Oxygen (O2) Sensor Ports
  3. Catalytic Converters
  4. Resonator Assemblies
  5. Mufflers/Muffler Assemblies

Module5-01

SIGNS OF MUFFLER WEAR

Mufflers primarily deteriorate from the inside out due to the acidic moisture produced by the combustion process. Other signs you may need to replace your muffler include noise coming from the muffler, a foul odor from not properly filtering exhaust gases or a distorted body shell.

Module5-02

HOW TO TORQUE FLANGES

Progressively tighten bolts on flanges to avoid exhaust system leaks, gasket & stud failure and premature system fatigue & failure. For example, if the nuts require 60-ft-lbs of torque, start by torquing all nuts to 20-ft-lbs, then 40-ft-lbs and finish at 60-ft-lbs. For Y-pipes secure both sides simultaneously, tightening in a rotating sequence between both pipes. For manifold converters, begin sequence in the middle & work evenly out between both sides.

Module5-03

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CLAMP

Manufactured from premium steel, these clamps are available in multiple varieties of saddle, band and wire ring clamps. Selecting the correct clamp style is critical for achieving desired levels of sealability, durability and serviceability. May require separate purchase.

Module5-04

WHY MUFFLER QUALITY MATTERS?

A muffler’s cross section is key to its performance. Walker Quiet-Flow SS mufflers feature OE-style cross sections to deliver the same quiet, factory sound experienced when the vehicle was new. Walker’s approach helps prevent degraded cabin acoustics, including exhaust drone.

Product Description
