Snap-on Industrial Brand JH Williams heavy duty retaining ring pliers set features internal and external snap ring pliers. The internal snap rings are designed for use in housings and boxes and the external snap rings are designed for use in shafts and studs. The pliers are supplied with spring ratchet lock assembly which allows the ring to be compressed or expanded with gradual adjustments which lock at the desired size without continued pressure on the handles. They are made of high quality carbon steel with a black oxide finish to resist rust and other corrosions. The tips are heat treated for a secure grip.
